2025-2026
Program of Leadership
Each year, the Tennessee DECA State Officer Team develops a Program of Leadership that outlines their goals, initiatives, and focus areas for the school year. This student-driven plan serves as a roadmap for how the state officer team will engage members, promote leadership, and support the mission of DECA across the state.
Member Engagement and Communications
Social Media: Use social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, to provide statewide updates and informational content through Motivational Monday, Teamwork Tuesday, Midweek Mindfulness, and Thoughtful Thursday campaigns.
Recognition Opportunities: Spotlight individuals and chapters doing exemplary work in their communities through Feature Fridays and Chapter of the Month recognitions.
Online Connection: Unite members across the state through engaging and informative calls that provide state association updates, share developmental resources, and strengthen connections to curate a collaborative and informed member community.
Professional Development and Partnerships
Member Resources: Offer resources such as the Chapter Officer Playbook to equip chapter officers and members with the tools they need to succeed in their roles.
Alumni Connection: Connect students with alumni and developmental opportunities through interviews that showcase how DECA has influenced their professional careers, providing career and pathway information to members.
Partner Involvement: Engage members through panel discussions and guest speaker opportunities that highlight industry insights, partnerships, and practical advice, fostering professional growth and expanding networks.
Community Involvement
Community Awareness Campaign: Encourage chapters and members to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) through statewide social media campaigns or conference fundraising events.
