Honorary Life Membership is Tennessee DECA's highest award. The prestige and honor represent the ultimate service and dedication to Tennessee DECA and marketing education. Nominees must be marketing education personnel who have added significantly to the development and progress of Tennessee DECA for a minimum of 15 years. Nominees do not have to be currently teaching. The Honorary Life Membership Award is presented at the Tennessee DECA State Career Development Conference.

NOMINATION PROCEDURE
Current marketing education teachers must submit the nomination form. After the submission deadline, eligible nominees will be contacted to provide additional information that outlines their service to marketing education and Tennessee DECA. An appointed committee of current honorary life members may have an opportunity to vote to select the award recipient. If no nominations are received by the deadline or an eligible nominee is unopposed, the state advisor may select a recipient who meets the qualifications.
