The hospitality committee is the glue that holds the state conference together behind the scenes. This small group of students are the “go-to” crew for anything that needs a little extra attention or assistance during the conference. Students must apply to be a part of this team. Consider your current or potential chapter officers who are extremely responsible, mature and task-oriented for this role.

OVERVIEW

• Prepare conference registration materials
• Welcome and escort judges to their assigned areas
• Serve as runners for the advisors working the competitive events
• Assist in setting up the opening and closing sessions
• Assist in setting up the mini awards banquet
• Assist the state advisor and other conference management staff as needed

ELIGIBILITY + APPLICATIONS
Any Tennessee DECA member who is not participating in a competitive event is eligible to apply.

• Set up written event and testing rooms
• Assist at registration
• Assist backstage during opening session
• Assist during written event presentations
• Set up role play room for next day

Friday, March 6, 2020
Start Time: 7:30 AM

• Assist during role play presentations
• Set up mini awards banquet
• Greet attendees and assist chapters in finding tables at banquet
• Assist backstage at mini awards banquet

Saturday, March 7, 2020
Start Time: 7:30 AM

• Assist backstage during grand awards session
